Athletics is an important part of student life at St. Mary's. Through Athletics students learn teamwork, goal setting, time management, self-discipline, communication skills, humility, fortitude, problem solving, adaptability, leadership, respect for authority and much more.

St. Mary's provides many athletic opportunities for our students:
High School Students (9th - 12th) participate in athletics through Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Cross Country (Co-Ed - Fall) Soccer (Co-Ed - Fall) Volleyball (Girls - Fall) Basketball (Boys, Girls - Winter) Track (Boys, Girls – Spring) Tennis (Girls – Spring) Baseball (Boys – Spring) Golf (Boys & Girls - Spring) Archery – 3 to 4 meets per year Cheer (Girls - All Year)
Middle School (5th - 8th) participate in athletics through Christian School Athletics Conference (CSAC) - a conference made up of private, christian schools in East Texas. Cross-Country (Co-Ed – Fall) Soccer (Co-Ed - Fall) Volleyball (Girls - Fall) Basketball (Boys, Girls - Winter) Track (Boys, Girls – Spring) Tennis (Girls – Spring) Baseball (Boys – Spring) Archery – 3 to 4 meets per year Cheer (Girls - All Year) What about the younger St. Mary's students?

Pep Squad for PK3 - 4th grade girls
Local Recreation Leagues for PK3 - 4th grade students: Students / Families are encouraged to form Rec athletic teams made up of St. Mary’s students through Longview City or Rec leagues with parent coaching. Teams may compete as St. Mary’s teams, use the St. Mary’s Knights logo and name, and utilize St. Mary’s facilities for practice when available. Parents may submit coaching hours towards volunteer hour commitment.
