St. Mary's Catholic School is located in the Piney Woods of East Texas, serving communities of Longview, Kilgore, Hallsville, Marshall, Gladewater, Tatum, Sabine, Carthage, and Gilmer. St. Mary's Catholic School assists families in the formation of their children as disciples of Jesus and His Kingdom, through faith, scholarship, leadership, and service. Since 1948, St. Mary's Catholic School has provided Catholic Education to Longview and Greater East Texas.
Through the lens of the Catholic faith, we collaborate with parents in promoting academic, spiritual, and moral growth of children. Our focus being on growing the "whole" person, we challenge the mind, develop potential, nurture spiritual values, and encourage creativity in a curriculum designed to produce well-rounded, college ready adults.
School-wide collaboration across all grade levels, promotes leadership and teamwork from our 3-year-olds to our high school seniors, allowing for mentoring and meaningful student interaction, as well as growth and development through our four pillars: faith, scholarship, leadership, and service.
Accreditations: St. Mary's Catholic School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops and recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). In addition, St. Mary's is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and AdvancED/Cognia.
Honors: St. Mary's Catholic School earned recognition as a member of the Cardinal Newman Society Catholic School Honor Roll.
